The 1998 E-X2001 Essential Credentials Now parallel set consistently draws significant attention. With a set where the print run correlates directly with the card number, it’s no surprise that superstars collect serious bids. In May of 2025, a PSA 9 example of the Ken Griffey Jr. 1998 E-X2001 #10 Essential Credentials Now sold through Heritage Auctions and commanded premium marquee value. The final result was more like something of a fantasy. It’s rare enough just to see one, much less watch an live auction, which is a real treat. Here are the results:

Interestingly enough, another example of the Ken Griffey Jr. 1998 E-X2001 #10 Essential Credentials Now surfaced on eBay with a very modest BIN that lasted just 3:18 before it was purchased. I only noticed it when someone pointed it out somewhere else online. I just had to go see for myself, and sure enough, there it was.

For good measure, here’s a PSA 8 example of the Ken Griffey Jr. 1998 E-X2001 #10 Essential Credentials Now that’s owned by notable Ken Griffey Jr. collector, Rodney Vallejo. I believe he acquired it sometime before the big spike. I don’t know what he paid, but I like to think it’s nowhere near six figures.
This might be the only place on the Internet that features three of the 10 examples ever made of the Ken Griffey Jr. 1998 E-X2001 #10 Essential Credentials Now.

I HAVE A 2000 PACIFIC PRISM VINYL WILD card pf Ken Griffen jr # 4/10 card #133 of the 10 made I am the only one known to have this card. psa and beckett have not ever graded or have one that’s been sold, ebay has never listed or sold this card. Do you think this card could be as valuable as the 1998 E-X 2000 Ken Griffen Jr #4/10 . Mine has been in a top loader for 25 years possible 9 or 10 if graded. Thanks for any info.you can give
Hi Jacob,
Thanks for the comment. What you have is a great card, but I don’t believe it stands any chance at being worth anywhere near that of the 1998 EX Now Griffey. They’re two completely different sets with very different levels of popularity.
