2025 Topps Tier One Limited Lumber is a hobby-exclusive insert that was issued across two different styles – base and autographs – each run containing a different number of card and all are 1/1s. These cards are quite beautiful. I’ve always appreciated the use of holo blue. Topps Tier One is a premium issue and the per-pack price will set you back quite a bit. Like other issues of similar tier, a lot of this stuff becomes harder to get as time passes. As with any issue, upon release, a window of opportunity exists where you can usually find your player’s cards, but that window closes in with each passing day. I love that they chose to use an image of Dwight Gooden hitting on his 2025 Topps Tier One Limited Lumber Autographs card. Granted, this set emphasizes the use of bats, so it makes sense. While his career was established around his pitching performance, I’m reminded that up until 2021, the National League, in which resides the New York Mets, required its pitchers to hit. This rare image fits in perfectly with this card.
