2024 Topps Chrome Lids is a 50-card set with a series of parallels. The product initially debuted at Fanatics Fest, which took place on August 16-18, 2024, but made its retail debut the following week on August 23. The set roster features a variety of flagship Topps designs, which include those from 1957, 1962, 1970, 1986, 1996, 2003, and 2024.
I saw the depicted card at a card show and then learned that Jasson Dominguez was sent down to Triple-A earlier this month. I can’t even imagine how those who spent heavily on this guy feel right now. Some huge 6-figure sales of cards featuring Jasson Dominguez have occurred over the past few years, and when a player gets demoted to the minors, it hurts resale values. The pro level is very difficult, so this isn’t terribly surprising or uncommon. Lots of guys develop in the minors and go on to have excellent professional careers. I was just a little taken by Jasson Dominguez being sent down seeing is how highly he was prospected over the past few years. In any case, the depicted card is a nice one, and I’m glad I saw it.
