1996 Select Certified Mirror Golds are rarely listed at action. It’s way more common to see them listed with super high BINs that often go unsold. A reputable eBay seller listed 22 different cards from this incredibly rare set. Since the entire run is made up of some of the biggest names of the 1990s, I thought it would be nice to cover the auctions results. Some of the end prices might surprise you. I was particularly shocked by the David Cone sale. Given their somewhat rarer appearances, I’m always stunned when I see listings for cards from the Pastime Power subset that encompass the last 10 cards in the set (#135-144). I just don’t see them nearly as frequently as other cards in the set. In any case, have a look at the results below.

Shocked by Cone sale how? Too high or too low?
It seemed too high, way too high. The only reason I can assume why David Cone outperformed Mike Mussina was perhaps because his card surfaces less frequently, but I don’t know.
