The 1998 Upper Deck Retro Groovy Kind of Glove insert set is one of my favorites from that year. These cards were inserted into packs at a rate of 1:7, which makes them very attainable. This 30-card set exclusively features superstar talent. This is a theme that was consistently showcased in ’90’s product. What this means to the collector is that whenever one of these is pulled, its of a top-notch player.
Another reason why this set is so rad is because of the beautiful vibrant colors in the background that seem to pop right off of the card. I love that! The same color combination is featured on both sides and consistently across all cards in the set to make this set quickly identifiable. It’s simple and affordable yet highly enjoyable.
