1996-97 Bowman’s Best Picks is a 10-card set that features some of the most dominant players to come out of the 1996 NBA Draft class. Cards are die-cut and include facsimile signatures. They can be found in base, refractor, and atomic refractor parallels with the latter being the rarest, valuable, and most desirable. While no official release date of 1996-97 Bowman’s Best was issued, it’s believed that it was released during Fall of 1996. The reason for this assumption is that time was required for both the Draft and player photography to occur, both of which happened that summer. 1996-97 Bowman’s Best was issued in 6-card packs with an SRP of $3.99 per pack.
