2024 Panini National Convention VIP Gold Packs is a 65-card multisport release. It’s also a mouth full; I just call it 2024 Panini National. Yea, I think they’re running out of ideas for titles too. In any case, this is an attractive set, but it’s not all that different from pretty much all the other Panini issues in the mid-tier price range. What we have is a chrome base set with a pile of parallels across base, autograph, and memorabilia. This content gets beaten into oblivion year after year. The 26 different parallels leaves a lot to chase if you collect any one player in the set. While that’s a lot, the designs are actually quite nice. I’ve said it before and I’ll continue to say it, despite their lack of licenses, Panini does a great job with its production quality. While the concept isn’t a new one, I still like it, and the roster is made up of superstars from some of the most popular sports.
