2017 Bowman Chrome ’92 Bowman Refractors is a 20-card set issued in packs of 2017 Bowman. The set commemorates the original 1992 Bowman design, but applied to a Chrome refractor format, which is quite nice. The set roster is comprised of retired, veteran, and rookie players. The player selection is somewhat peculiar. With just 20 spots, you’d think the roster would be guys of at least a similar level of talent. Seeing Sean Newcomb in the same set as Ken Griffey Jr. is strange to me. Nothing against Newcomb, but he’s nowhere near the same caliber of player as Griffey. The parallels cover the usual suspects and they’re all very hard to pull.
