1997 SP Game Film is a 10-card set with a print run of 500. The roster includes some of the biggest names in baseball in the late 1990s. The design features a small die cut with copper flaking and silver foil print complete with slides of player images. It’s quite a beautiful set and the print run makes these somewhat available and relatively affordable. Although as it continues to age, I suspect it’ll grow in popularity as it becomes more nostalgic. I’ve always appreciated the set design of 1997 SP Game Film. To this day, and regardless of its availability and price point, I see it as a premium insert set. The technology is simple but it produces a boutique presentation.
