1999 Fleer Tradition Date With Destiny is a 10-card set that features some of the games best talent from the era. While not everyone on the roster has been inducted into the Hall of Fame, endless arguments exist in favor of the guys who haven’t. It doesn’t matter which side of the discussion you’re on because all of these guys had an impact on baseball during their time. These cards are quite beautiful as the design mimics the Hall of Fame plaques with a holofoil patina die cut and a stated serial number to 100. The design is as breathtaking is it is condition sensitive. With the foil going all the way to the edges, common grades land in the 5s and 6s with higher grades being exceedingly rare. Rare or graded, however, desirability remains strong with these and the trend continues with each passing year. With the prices where they are now, it’s hard to believe I found the Ken Griffey Jr. in a dollar box back in 2010. The likelihood of finding deals like this are long behind us.
