Rookie Cards, Resale Value, and Release Dates | Ep. 116

In this segment, Chris Gilmore: Co-Founder, www.freedomcardboard.com and I converse about the following three questions:

  1. Regarding prospecting, when did it become more common to get a rookie card serial numbered to 50 copies instead of getting 50 copies of the same rookie card?
  2. For collectors with no intention of ever selling, should they place any emphasis on resale value during acquisition decisions?
  3. Regarding product release dates, should player collectors buy cards as soon as they come out knowing they’ll pay a premium, or should they wait until the buzz calms and prices drop at the expense of increased scarcity?
