The 1993 SP Derek Jeter rookie card is considered by many to be one of the hobby's most iconic modern baseball cards. Due to the foil borders, the 1993 SP set is highly condition sensitive making high grade examples nearly impossible to find. The upside is that even lower grade examples are still highly collectible. This particular example features a signature by the Captain himself. The signed rookie card concept has become a popular one among collectors and this one is sure to please the collector of any level from novice to advanced. The signature on this card is bold and bright, which augments the total aesthetic of the card and accentuates its desirability.

Among the many accolades collected over his 20-year career, Jeter collected the following: 6th All-Time for Career Hits at 3465, .310 Career Average, ROY (1996), 14x All-Star, 5x Gold Glove, 5x Silver Slugger, and 5x World Series rings.

This 1993 SP Derek Jeter is a magnificent piece that is sure to fit in nicely with any collection both new and seasoned. This item has been authenticated by PSA and is offered by Pristine Auction. Click here to see the listing.

Before the famous 1986-87 Fleer Basketball set was released, prospectors and collectors could find a variety of interesting sets depicting the great Michael Jordan. This one in particular is one of those that survived likely many different kinds of life threatening situations before it was sent off to PSA for authentication and then to Pristine Auction.

The 1985 Prism Jewel Stickers were available in vending machines, which was a popular concept in the 1980s. Due to the method of release, these stickers were put through many condition and life threatening situations. Pop in a few coins, and out came a few stickers. Thing is, many of these stickers possessed surface scratches almost immediately from the very way they were offered. A great many of these were peeled and slapped onto whatever was owned by the owner of the sticker i.e., bicycle rims, dressers, bed frames, cars, you name it. This was a common thing to do in the 1980s. I did this myself with other stickers during the later part of the decade.

I love the design used here. The prism concept is reminiscent of something from the mid to late 1990s. While the animated art is very 1980s, the technology used on these stickers pre-dates its mainstream use on ultra-rare inserts that would come out over a decade later. In this way, these stickers were ahead of their time.

What makes this sticker even greater is that it's signed by Jordan himself. As I write this, this is the only example of the Jordan sticker that's signed and authenticated by PSA/DNA making it a pop 1. This Michael Jordan 1985 Prism Jewel Sticker is as rare as it is beautiful. This item has been authenticated by PSA and is offered by Pristine Auction. Click here to see the listing.

The 1965 Topps Joe Namath rookie card is a granddaddy of football cards. It's a cornerstone card both in terms of the set and the era. With taller frames, the set dimensions are atypical. As with many vintage sets, centering issues are common in the 1965 Topps set making high grade examples exceedingly rare. However, the Namath in any condition is desirable. This particular example, while depicts imperfect centering, is signed by Namath himself. It's a beautiful card and one that should be cherished by any collector. If you collect rookie cards, autographed cards, and/or autographed rookie cards, this is certainly a gem to be considered. The rookie auto thing has become a popular combination even in modern products. Finding vintage cards with player signatures has also taken one some intrigue, especially by those collectors looking to add HOF rookie cards to their rosters. Vintage HOF rookie cards are special in and of themselves but the addition of the player's signature makes them that much more collectible. This Joe Namath card captures that essence. This item has been authenticated by PSA and is offered by Pristine Auction. Click here to see the listing.
